CPI's national park impact

176,160

By contributing thousands of work hours, CPI delivers high-quality projects at reduced costs, lightens the load on NPS oversight, introduces innovative best practices, and engages military talent in safeguarding the future of our parks.

90%+

Without CPI, most of our projects would remain undone due to limited park resources—leaving deterioration to continue and further adding to the $22 billion deferred maintenance backlog across the national park system.

<30%

Backed by 15 years of partnership, deep knowledge of regulations and park-specific challenges, industry-leading construction expertise, and mission alignment with NPS, CPI projects demand far less oversight than outside contractors.

1872

Yellowstone was established in 1872, with the Army stepping in as the first rangers until the National Park Service formed 44 years later. Today, CPI is proud to carry forward and revive that legacy of military stewardship, honoring the tradition of service that has long safeguarded America’s treasured landscapes.

Success During and After Service

Our alumni go on to achieve remarkable success—most launch new careers as veterans in the construction industry, while others continue serving through the National Park Service or government agencies. Their stories reveal the enduring power of blending military service, national park stewardship, and opportunity into life-changing impact.
